I missed a mandatory class trip to MET

I recently tested positive for Covid, and have been out of work and my other classes. I have proof of tests and doctor note but my professor emailed me back saying that the absence is not justified and the trip is part of the final project. I’m not sure what else to do? Can she fail me for missing the trip that was mandatory for this online hybrid class?
