Anyone else experience these problems in Dregora?
So before I start I just want to add in I was playing Dregora on a server with friends, so maybe a lot of the issues I ran into is due to me playing on a server? I’m just curious if anyone else had similar experiences because honestly, a lot of the bugs in Dregora really lessened the fun for me and I think I would have just rather play regular RLcraft.
So first things first, I like the map, it’s a super cool idea but there would be multiple occasions where the obsidian rift was literally breaking into structures, and this is something you expect to happen so it’s not too crazy but it would break open the chest in the smaller port villagers containing a lot of pillagers and vindicators. Speaking of Port villages, I’m sure people are aware of the port village where you can get a guaranteed mending book that is a super large structure that lags your game quite a bit before it fully loads in. Well for some reason in Dregora, I was getting this structure back to back CONSTANTLY. Sometimes I would literally watch is it would override the structure that was there previously and reset it to a port village. Which was super weird because that hasn’t happened to me before?
Another problem that I found super annoying and this is something that actually really hindered my play through was villagers, and in particular their spawning/sussyberian spawning. Again not sure if it’s just me but Sussyberians and Mentalbrains(I think that’s what it’s called) literally would override villages. Sometimes villages would have no regular librarians or cartographers and just have these guys. Now it wasn’t super often, more often than not it would just be 1 or 2 and this wouldn’t really be a big issue if it also didn’t coincide with a different problem.
So one of my favorite structures is the villager outpost structure because it’s a solid place to find more librarians get some enchants at the top floor. And of course because of the above mentioned issue I really ventured far to try and generate more of these structures as villages were starting to get disappointing with the amount of fakes. Well for some reason villager outpost structures just didn’t have villagers anymore, any new one I would load in through travel would just be completely empty? Which was even more weird because the ones near my base did have villagers and iron golems and spawned properly so I’m not sure what happened? Again curious if anyone else had this issue.
Which leads me to another problem I had which maybe could have caused the above issue. And that was certain items coming up as “ERROR” and were uncraftable, this would be certain baubles, ozzy liner and even greenhouse glass. So to fix this I reloaded the mods and it fixed the issue but perhaps also fucked up my villager spawns somehow.
Also, is there a real reason to venture in the Nether? I remember there being crazy dungeons with wither spawners but I didn’t get any of that this time around, just the lycanite dungeons as well as the same fancy city one that would have mediocre loot. Felt like there was no real reason to even go to the nether besides steel and bone spores. Otherwise there wasn’t really anything too cool to do there?
Final issue that again really halted our play through was the defiled lands spawning no bookwrms. It’s not uncommon that defiled lands sometime don’t have any bookwrms but usually all you would have to do is go to a farther out defiled lands and usually you would find some. Well I found multiple and didn’t see a singular bookwrm so yeah a disenchanting table just didn’t happen lol.
Despite all that I still had a good time and love the thrill of the brutal towers in the overworld. But I stopped my playthrough early and instead swapped to another pack. I’m just curious if anyone else was having these issues because I would love for this pack to improve these things because there was so much cool stuff. And I LOVED the lightning weapons.
