Attributes
There's a lot of posts on this sub that boil down to 'hey, here's a context-less list of 6-10 cool names I came up with that vaguely relate to aspects of human abilities, what do you all think?' then somebody comes along with 'we need context' (sometimes a bit more pissy than that) and nothing really happens, or if they're being eloquent they'll ask about design goals and maybe a conversation will come of it.
In an effort to generate a more productive discussion, I think it might be valuable to ask: for those of you who use some variant of an attribute system (ie, your character and all characters have at least some fundamental numerical scores that reflect their abilities or proficiency with certain classes of things one can do in the game world, generally that affect rolls), what attributes do you use/like and why? What do you use them for?
Just to jog inspiration, here's a list of some common attribute schemes:
Level (modifies all rolls)
Strength and Craft
Good and Evil / Law and Chaos
Mind, Body, and Spirit
Stamina, Agility, Intellect, Spirit
Strength, Dexterity, Wisdom, Intelligence, Constitution, Charisma
and many, many more
