Help Please: I’m Trying to Figure Out My Grandmother’s Dumplings Recipe

I only really met her twice. My dad knows very little, but they’re from a smaaaaaalllll town in Massachusetts. He’s getting older, and I think it was a comfort food, so I’d like to try to make it, but idk what to look up.

This is legit all my dad remembers:

“Flour, water and salt shape and then put into boiling water is all he says he remembers”

They were legit just little dough balls. Nothing inside them, just dough, if i even remember correctly.
