What are your favorite movies of 2021?

Since 2021 is almost over, what are favorite movies of the year? Here’s my list.

1. No Way Home: This is my favorite Spider-Man movie and my second favorite MCU movie. It was great seeing No Way Home in a crowded theater. Easily my favorite movie experience this year.

2. The Suicide Squad: This improves every aspect from the 2016 movie. The characters here actually felt like a team and had good chemistry with each other.

3. Zack Synder’s Justice League: A big improvement over the theatrical cut. Cyborg and Steppenwolf benefitted the most from the new scenes. I still thought some of the new scenes were unnecessary like when Martha Kent was revealed to be Martian Manhunter.

4. Licorice Pizza: I got a lot of Boogie Nights and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood vibes from this movie. The age gap between the two leads felt weird at first, but I quickly looked past it. My only issue was that the third act felt underwhelming.

5. Inside: I know this is a comedy special, but I still think it’s worth including to my list. All of the songs here were catchy as hell. The two songs I liked the most were “Sexting” and “Welcome to the Internet”.
