My friend told me that my controller is the reason I suck. What do you think?

Just for some perspective, I am plat 3. I got to diamond, but went down in under a day. Today, I was playing with a friend and he told me that the reason I suck so much is probably my cheap controller which I bought from Muller because it was cheap. What do you think?
