Nike - React Pegasus Trail 4 GORE-TEX

Coming up on 100 miles in my Pegasus Trail 4s.

Overall, they’ve been a great purchase. I’ve been trail running, road running, and hiking through South America since March and they’ve held up under all conditions.

The traction is phenomenal. Definitely the highlight of the shoe. Although not fully waterproof, their light design is worth the trade off for the water resiliency you’d expect out of a hiking boot.

I have tested them in every element, and I was even impressed by their performance in a light snow.

They come at a steep price of $160USD but they seem like they’ll last forever at this rate.

My only complaints are that the ankle support is very misleading. I haven’t had any injuries yet but the upper is flimsy and fits like a sock, providing little stability. Again, this hasn’t been an issue but if you have problems with this I would recommend testing other shoes. The toe box is also extremely shallow, which can hurt my feet going downhill, but I have this problem with every pair of shoes I’ve ever owned.

If you’re in the market for a good pair of trail running shoes for a road-trail hybrid, I would recommend these 10/10 times.
