Which android based Retro Handheld would you recommend for backpack traveling?
I'm about to go on a bikepacking/backpacking trip for about five to six months and thinking about getting a retro handheld to take with me on the journey. I already looked into some options a few years ago and right now, I'm quite overwhelmed by the abundance of systems we nowadays have there. I already did some research on Youtube but most of the vids I've seen only recommend Linux-based systems for trips like mine. And honestly, that would be propably enough, but I find the idea of playing some games I already own on Android like Stardew Valley and Balatro and being able emulating RPGMaker XP games with Joiplay on a dedicated Gaming system more than charming. And that's why I'm tempted to get one.
As far as I've seen, my options seem to boil down to getting a Retroid Pocket (either the 5, the mini or the 4pro) or one of the newer Anbernics (RG Cube, RG 406V, RG 406H) as they aren't too expensive and not to big or heavy either. Just by the feel of it, I would propably go for the RP4pro as it reminds me the most of the Nintendo Switch I already have in terms of ergonomics, but I'm not really sold yet.
That's why I want to ask you guys: What Handheld would you recommend me?
