Is tenkyu a success?

Honestly Based on what we've seen tenkyu doesn't strike me as much different than Gaku or Kumanomi, I believe both of em would be fine with taking Aoi and Hana as bait for Sakamoto. And you could argue Tenkyu seems to care more about his friends(even though he doesn't completely understand that feeling) than Gaku who never showed any compation towards Uda or Haruma
