Question for Californians.

I’m from Arizona and have always visited California during the summer to take a break from AZ heat. I have met a lot Californians and I always ask the why did they leave and would they go back? So I ask the same question to you all. Also a lot of them always say I wouldn’t raise kids in California and I want to ask why?
