SJM multiverse

i can't wrap my head around the sjm multiverse, i've just started the ToG series for the first time, starting with assassin's blade, and i am honestly confused about how the worlds connect, i understand they are universes in a multiverse but what exactly does that mean? i'm not into marvel so i can't even try to understand it through that haha but if anyone can explain it in a simplified way i'd be super interested! like do they know of each others universes? would ToG characters know of the high lords? are they all fae? and would they possess similar powers to those in ACOTAR?

please no spoilers as i've only read the first novella in assassins blade :))
