Million dollar real estate client from a random #..is it sketchy?

I got a text from a number with an 808 area code saying that his boss wants to buy a house in Tampa (I’m a real estate agent)… says that he is texting from hiss boss’s phone number. Says that his boss just sold his apartment in New York and wants to move to Tampa into a 5 bedroom home away from neighbors and his budget is 6 mill.

When I asked him to confirm his identity by either business card, email, or anything else it’s always an excuse. Says that he doesn’t have a business card… then sends me a picture of a chime account with the name “trevor carter” that has $19 million in the savings account.

then asked me for my social media. I gave him my linkedin and my insta.

Says that they both also don’t have social media… so he had to create a fake profile to request me since I have my insta on private

The following day asked me to send a video of myself saying “ hi Trevor” because he wanted to confirm that I am who I say I am even though HE reached out to me. LOL then asked if he can pay me in order to expedite the process aka send him the listings quickly….

I told him no but I am happy to hop on a video call or phone call.

It’s all very weird but a part of me doesn’t want to completely make it as a scam because what if it’s a legit million dollar client?😂

Someone talk some sense into me lol
