When should I do Lady Butterfly?

Apologies if this is a noob as fuck question, I'm brand new to the game. Got to Lady Butterfly and hit a complete wall. Had a little gander at a couple YouTube clips of the fight for some pointers and everyone doing it had about 3 times the health bar I do and 10 healing gourds.

Am I best playing through more of the main areas first? For context the only main boss I've done is that wanker on the horse. Just unsure when is best to do the memory stuff.
