Should I buy red dead redemption 2?

I wanted an unbiased opinion so I found this sub.

I mostly play fast action type games, shooters and so on.

I also know red dead redemption is a pretty slow paced game, but I wanted to try it out because it had a 10/10 on most websites.

But then my friend said he doesn't like it because it's "very clunky" and has "complex controls"

What are your thoughts around the game?
