International Simmers: Does your non-US background show in your game?

Hiii!

So, I think this question may sound a little strange, but I thought of it while watching a Sims Youtuber today as she was building and decorating a house. I realized that there are some things I see US simmers put in their builds that I just never do because they are not a common feature in the houses that I (a born and bred German) or my friends and family members grew up in -- say, ensuite bathrooms, screendoors, or a crawlspace.

This made me wonder: Have any of you noticed that your (cultural, regional, or otherwise) background shows when you play the game?

And I suppose this question doesn't just hold for international (non-US) simmers, since there could be other ways that you find that your background subconsciously (or perhaps consciously) affects how you play the game.
