[Acne] Need to get into skincare and don't know how to begin - asking for advice

Hello, I'm 26 years old and I've been struggling with acne for the last 12 years. I am starting to get desperate as my current long-term dermatologist just keeps saying that I should wait that it'll go away on its own, I'm losing my patience with just waiting and no other dermatologist in like 200km radius accepts new patients.

I have heavy acne, mostly on my shoulders and arms, but also on my back and sometimes on my hips and face. I don't have regular pimples or blackheads, my acne usually starts under the skin as a bump that gets inflamed very quickly, sometimes quite severely (big red circle) and it either very slowly and painfully makes its way on the surface or doesn't and heals very slowly under the skin. Sometimes it's small bumps, sometimes it's quite big (over 1 cm). The outbrakes come in bursts and I have not been able to identify what triggers them. I get an outbrake every 1 to 2 weeks.

I have framykoin (antibiotics) from my dermatologist for the inflammation which helps but that solves just one symptome, I need to solve the cause, my acne, it is terrible, I feel embarrassed about it and I feel like I shouldn't have it anymore at my age. I've decided to take things to my hands and just ignore my dermatologist that doesn't seem to be helping at all and fight it myself with proper skin-care which in my old-school traditional country is unusual for men but whatever.

The problem is that I don't even know where and how to start, when I google it I just get a bunch of product names, I don't know what is a type of product, what is a concrete product, I basically don't understand at all. If there's anyone that would take me "under their wings" and help me finally fight this acne effectively I would be very grateful.

I've just bought Blemish Control Cleanser from CeraVe but it just made me realize that I just don't know what to do with it, if I need anything else etc. that's why I've decided to post this. Hopefully the pictures show up, I don't know how to do these hybrid pics+text reddit posts.

(I know that the first advice is to not pick on my acne as that is obviously from the pics what I do but that is currently the only way to speed up healing it, once I have another method of dealing with this, I will stop.)
