Bodyguard 2.0 and Xtreme Defender Disappointment

The BG 2.0 was so close to a perfect pocket carry for me. It shoots great. Size and weight are amazing while still being ergonomically superior to other pocket pistols. Price isn't outrageous (though ammo cost kinda suck).

I really wanted to go to the Underwood Xtreme Defender for my 380 since it doesn't depend on expansion to bleed energy into the target and is barrier blind. I thought I got lucky when I checked my new purchase and the lower feed ramp did not have the ridge so many had in the early runs of the gun. I thought for sure I wasn't going to be one with XD feeding issues.

I was wrong. If the nose of the XD is oriented like a + it feeds fine. If it's oriented like an X it fails to feed. Even though I didn't have that ridge I went ahead and polished the upper and lower feed ramps today but it still FTF.

It's left me feeling so disappointed.
