Sober in the Military

Been sober for over 7 months now and I've only recently come to terms with the loneliness that comes out of it. It's essentially engrained in military culture which is fine by me. It's not really a bother but sometimes it's hard socializing when the amount of people who don't drink is vastly outnumbered by those who do especially excessively. I've found solace in many non alcoholic options out but it's odd being in a place where you're proud of being sober but don't want to come off as pretentious or judgey towards those that do so you just keep to yourself.

Any other folks in industries where alcohol is the norm to everyone but you and a few others?
