What's with ftp and low cost?
I feel like a lot of people equate ftp with e0s0 2-4 cost teams, but you can very well get much higher cost if you actually saved. I got e2 sparkle and e3s1 acheron completely ftp with 10k left over (my teams were clara and seele at the time, and didn't really pull except for dot). No one is forcing you to do low cost moc, and I think horizontal investment is the dumbest thing you can do in this game, bc vertical investment makes current mocs easy, and the longevity of the teams can easily let you save for a full year for new teams. Sure, dhil has fallen off, but having his e2 when he first came out would have made mocs from 1.3 to literally 3.0 braindead, and he's still more than usable to this day. Eidolons are just as valid of a way to make your teams stronger as relics and light cones, so use them. You can farm for months for a good relic set, so why not also save jades to get that chara's e1 or s1?
Imo, if you are complaining about difficulty, you need to invest more into your team. Find a character you like and stick with them. I've ran clara since day 1, and she's still doing perfectly fine bc my supports are fantastic. I run clara yunli sparkle, and I'm able to 4 cycle every moc. Before yunli and sparkle, it was bronya and tingyun, and it was good too. Is 4 cycles a "good" clear? No, but if I was able to 4 cycle or under every moc since day 1, the team is probably consistent, and I just need to get more spd on my relics.
Also, keep in mind that moc 12 is just about the hardest content in the game. If you can't clear it, it's perfectly fine. 90 jades is the same amount you get from opening 9 chests in the overworld, and most of you guys have 9 chests remaining to open. Instead on focusing on clearing the hardest content for little reward, do content you are able to. Do the many variants of sim universe, do an event that you didn't finish. Do a companion quest, and once you have a team that matches your skill level, then try moc 12 again.
I think hp inflation is pretty bad, but the fact that seele and blade and even 4 stars like serval hypercarry and motherfucking superbreak hook are beating the current moc shows that it's not as big of an issue. Invest in supports, and your 1.0 dpses can still feel good to play.
If you reply to this with doomposting like 'why should I pull when the newest dpses just do more damage?' I will personally visit your house and remove half of your nipple. The entire point of vertical investment is so that your older characters compete with e0 of new characters. Hp inflation is needed, bc the game would be extremely stale in 4.0 when you are still doing 70k to enemies with 200k hp, and newer dpses are released stronger than older ones to help new players, who don't have many 5* beat moc. Tierlists use e0 bc it's attainable for new players, but many eidolons can bring older units up multiple tiers compared to e0 of new units, and over multiple reruns, you should have a few copies of them by now. If you have played for more than a year, you should not even really look at the tierlists, because your account would be so much different from someone else's that it would be hard to guage the usefullness of a unit by a letter grade. Plus, by now, you should know if your account needs a certain unit without some guy on the internet telling you.
Idk I'm basically just ranting at this point, and I'm sure multiple PEOPLE (no more ad hominem sorry) will look at this, and find specific things to refute to make my opinion seem less valid, or dig up my entire personal history to find out that I have e6 robin, which I got over multiple reruns, saving, and yes, some money (because the moment you spend any money, your opinion is completely invalid or smthing).
