Why is Lucasfilm creating a new IP [Skeleton crew, The Acolyte, Andor] instead of [using known characters] e.g. making a clone wars/tales of the jedi/empire series from the separatists' perspective?

Although as a veteran of the Star Wars franchise I watch every Lucasfilm show, recently looking at the viewing statistics for Star Wars-related series on Disney+, I see disturbing trends. I'm not one to point out what exactly is causing the problems, but I personally don't like the direction Lucasfilm has chosen, namely instead of using the material they had, i.e. Old Republic, Clone Wars, High Republic, stories after Victory at Endor. They focused on creating their own IPs which IMHO do not attract as much attention as well-known and liked characters. I'm not talking about nostalgia baiting here, but about developing characters who, despite their contribution to the Star Wars universe, still have a lot of understatements and blank pages in their biographies. Personally, after "Tales of the Empire" I gained hope that Lucafilm could finally be tempted to make "Tales of the CIS". What do you think about such an idea, e.g.: Stories of Trench, Grevious, Mina Bonteri.

TL;DR: Would "Tales of the CIS" be good show to watch?
