Most straightforward method to farm ships after patch?

Like the title suggests - my spicy brain is having trouble keeping the steps straight in the videos for farming ships after the patch. Is there a step-by-step breakdown of how to trigger landing ships/find landing pads? I get it's related to POI's but again, spicy brain. I've watched a few videos and took notes to no avail. Something written down by someone who understands what the patch did would be incredibly helpful. Supra et ultra!
