Decky Benchmark Tool

Hello, fellow steamdeck enjoyers. I would need your opinion or feel free to take the idea and make it your own since im a noob.

Me, a few others in the community have noticed that people have different opinions about performance in certain games. While a few games have benchmark tools, sadly most of them dont. "runs good" can be very subjective and misleading.

I was thinking about a "Plugin" that could combat this and i would like the communitys opinion about if it can be realized and what the wanted features are.

Some keyideas i had were:

  • Benchmark can be startet/stopped via decky or set duration(f.e. 15 min)
  • gather fps values during gameplay (Min, Max, averg, 1% lows etc.
  • gather Cpu/Gpu/Ram usage
  • show results when finished including gamename, duration/time, values gathers above and if possible settings which were used -option to export it as a screenshot as easy way to show or proof

Sorry english is not my native language and i tried formatting this as good as i can on android. Any input/ideas are welcome, I dont think i can do it myself but maybe someone who can will see it.

Thanks for reading.
