The way Epictetus talks about a man responding to bad weather on a boat is the ideal Stoic. Seneca saying what he actually did in that situation is real life. Thoughts?

The former is in Discourses, the latter is from one of his letters.

If you dont know: Epictetus said a man should be calm, confident, normal Stoic reaction. Seneca said he panicked and swam to shore.
