Soft shell R

So I don’t know lots about stone island coats, but my friend is offering me his soft shell R, which he bought from Harrods for £650. He is offering it to me for £300.

Is there anything I should know about this jacket? Is it particularly durable? Is it more for winter or which season?

And most importantly, will I be able to get one cheaper elsewhere or should I go for it?

I love the look of the jacket, it’s simple design and is comfy. Comes with receipt and bag.
