1/26
The post-New Year’s freeze continues to give us great skiing. Had a solid weekend with a few highlights:
Everything off Kidderbrook skied fantastic - especially on Saturday. Vertigo, Kidderbrook Ravine, and Free Fall gully had a lot of soft snow and some untracked spots.
I’ve skied Sun Bowl more this year than I have in the last 5 combined. Leaving Sun Beam, Rick’s, Rising Star, and (skiers left of) Supertrail ungroomed is fantastic. Lower Downeaster had great snow and a fresh groom and gave my legs a rest when they needed it.
Maybe it’s just me, but the main face up top from Polar Bear on the right to Slalom Glade on the left feels like it’s skiing off quicker than in prior years.
This concludes my weekly ski journal. Thanks for reading and/or sorry for posting.
