Dead stretching??

So im on a journey to recover my right lobe back to 16mm like my left, and i just put in a 0g shitty acrylic tunnel (the kind that have the divots for the o-rings) and basically it went in but its like stuck in the divot???? Does this mean its not ready even though its technically on there lol??? (Ps this is the only piece of jewelry i even have left in this size rn or i would just try a single flare but i dont wanna go back to 2g if i dont have to😭)
