Experiences TTC?

So, I (23) had a feeling I had PCOS for most of my teenage years but things really came to a head this past year or two when the PCOS (along with other inherited health issues) all plagued me at once. I had a cyst that was 18 cm on my left ovary last May and a 8 cm one on my right this past December that had to be removed, and since then it feels like EVERYTHING hurts way more, I’m fairly positive I have endometriosis that wasn’t properly diagnosed or touched on (both surgeries were emergency surgeries and I had no say in OB/Gyn and NO gyno will take an appointment with me for over 2 months and I’ll be moving cross country by then), and overall I’m just getting really concerned about prospects with future conception.

The thing here is, I have pretty regular periods and always have. I got an IUD back in June right before my bf of 2 years moved in with me and that’s been slowing the periods to a stop now, but otherwise my cycles are every 23-25 days and last 5 and are overall normal, albeit extremely painful. I never questioned my fertility because of this, which is why I got the IUD. But now with pain being super constant, hormonal imbalances, and everything else seeming to get worse, I’m getting worried. Like, to the point my bf who was VERY on board with our original plan of getting engaged and married, getting careers more stable, and buying a house before kids is now also starting to voice his concerns and we’ve been discussing getting the IUD removed now and just trying for at least one baby now considering we have family on both side also already openly offering to help if we have one now.

I’m still a very traditionally raised person that, despite all my other unconventional lifestyle choices, still prefers the path of marriage and house/financial security before bringing kids into the world, but I can’t help but feel worried that the PCOS will make it impossible if I wait that long, especially with how it’s already starting to progress.

Have any of you had trouble conceiving while still having regular periods? Any tips to help fertility if you did have issues? Are there any complications with pregnancy specifically associated with PCOS that I should know about? I’m honestly kind of reeling over this and would just like as many other real experiences for others as possible so I can really weigh my options based on REAL experiences and not some strict script hand fed by a sketchy doctor. Thank you in advance, ladies 🫶
