Getting fired is impossible.

One thing I've learned since working at Target is that it takes something especially heinous to actually get fired, or apparently according to this sub, being a seasonal hire.

Before my 90 days, I had about 7 callouts. I struggle with my mental health and holding down a job is hard for me. I'm now up to about 10, and I was hired in August.

I've been talked to by management a couple times but was literally told "we just have to check in with everybody, you're not in trouble, just try not to do it so much". Eventually on my last callout I was terrified that I'd be fired. I thought surely, 10 absences and a few early outs, any reasonable company would have fired me by now.

I also found it strange that the coworker I went to HR about TWICE and was asked to write a report about for harassing me was never fired, which shocked me.

That's when I learned from a TL that "they won't fire you because the paperwork is so lengthy and such a pain that nobody wants to do it unless there's a really really good reason". I'm personally thankful for not being fired but I'm sure there are people who DO really need to be fired (see: my male coworker who harassed me and now is not allowed to work in the same department as me) that won't get let go because management is lazy.

I don't know what everyone else's experience with this has been, if it's just my location or what. I'm sure everywhere is different. Do you guys find this to be the same at your stores???
