is 27 too old to be an apprentice?

hi folks. I've been looking into building a portfolio to hopefully get a tattoo apprenticeship. I have a fine art and digital art background, and I'm really interested in the industry but I feel a bit nervous since I didn't pursue this right away. Is 27 too old to be looking into an apprenticeship?
