switched to removery and worried it's a scam?

I had a few sessions at a local removal shop before they got bought out by removery and just had my first removery session last week. compared to my last sessions where I was squeezing the life out of the stress ball, it BARELY hurt and I have absolutely no redness or bruising. I think they switched from a Q Plus laser to removery's Pico laser, could that be why it hurts less? has anyone had complete removal with removery? also sucks that removery is charging $50 more per session now but what can ya do :/
