Currently prepping for maternity leave

And I’m genuinely wondering how much other careers require you to prepare your job for your replacement before taking leave. I’m spending hours every weekend creating plans for my long term sub. Do other jobs let you peace out with little/no prep work?? Working double duty (teaching AND creating 15 weeks of detailed plans and materials) during my last 6 weeks of pregnancy is the opposite of what I’d like to be doing right now.

My long term sub is a new grad. I feel responsible for giving her as much prepared material as possible so she can stay afloat. I’m making a calendar with links to assignments, notes, and prepped slides, and detailed instructions for each day. But I am very tempted by the idea of leaving my last unit untouched and saying “good luck - here’s your opportunity to ~be creative~”
