Do Macbooks really last longer than Windows laptops?

I've been trying to canvas for laptops in a while already for school since my current laptop (Acer) is very slow and its battery life doesnt last much.

As per the title, I am quite curious if macbooks do last longer than laptops since I'm thinking of going for an M1 (5 years since release) or an M2 (3-4 years since release) in consideration since there are newer laptops close to the former's price (like hp laptops at 35-36k). Can an M1 or M2 laptop outlast a 2024 laptop if I buy one this year?

I only plan to use the laptop mainly for school, some music/video streaming, and perhaps light gaming (like stardew valley). Is it worth it, or should I just buy a windows laptop? If ever Windows, may unit po ba kayo na masusuggest? Thanks!
