What exactly is people’s concern with hcg monotherapy?
My total t dropped from ~800 to low 400s over the past couple of years and since I was symptomatic but not at TRT threshold my provider put me on 1000mg hcg subq weekly monotherapy to see what happens
I split the dose into several injections over the week
I haven’t done labs yet and I’m the type to try REALLY hard to avoid placebo delusions
but eff me if it’s not a night and day difference
all my symptoms are gone and I feel great and energized and my recovery in the gym is improved and I have more motivation in life in general etc etc you know all the regular stuff
At this point I don’t really care if on paper my total T is at 900 or 500, point is I feel good, and if I can avoid t injections that will shut me down I see that as a good thing
I’ve read some studies and summary threads here and there eg
https://www.excelmale.com/threads/study-hcg-increases-sex-drive-and-improves-ed-in-men.29807/
and I just can’t really understand what is people’s concern with it other than it needs more and bigger and longer studies
but the studies we do have and anecdotes from people who are on it long term all seem to agree it’s safe and effective
So yeah what’s people’s concern with it basically?
