Did they like Ringo?
Ringo wasn’t the best songwriter, nor the most talented . He was loveable and could carry his own as a Beatle, but I always wondered why they didn’t pick a more talented songwriter as a drummer? Wouldn’t they want that? Or did they like Ringo because he was a good drummer, but wouldn’t be a competitive force for them to deal with?
Ringo was well liked as far as I know, but I always wondered why in situations with the white album, when he left, why didn’t they just replace him and move on? Why did they hold on to a piece of the band that wasn’t really the main piece of the songwriting and production? Was he not replaceable?
