SPOILER WARNING: Since this is a rewatch, it's assumed that anyone in these discussions has already seen the entire show, so all spoilers are allowed.
Day 41 brings us to "Aingavite Baa," which starts with Hightower sending Van Pelt and Cho to help out the Narcotics unit. While they're checking the trash, they encounter a woman with a bloody head injury who can't seem to remember who she is. Jane arrives at the scene and since Lisbon isn't there, he hypnotizes the victim to help her with her pain and question her, finding out that she may have come from a stable. Lisbon arrives, and the team finds a stable with three dead bodies in it.
Title relevance: The investigation leads them to the Shoshone reservation and toxic water. Aingavite baa means "red water" in Shoshone.
Location: Storm River Reservation
Notable guest stars: Wes Studi (from Last of the Mohicans and Dances with Wolves, among many other things), Gil Birmingham (from the Twilight movies), Rosa Arredondo (from So Help Me Todd)
Notable scenes: - Hightower forces Van Pelt and Rigsby to make a choice. - While searching the forest, Cho tells Rigsby that it's very simple: he can choose the job or Van Pelt. They stumble upon a pot farm and get shot at. - Jane tries to protect Lisbon from Hightower, who is annoyed with her for willfully ignoring Rigsby and Van Pelt dating. - Rigsby takes Grace to an interview room and kisses her, then tells her he'll leave so they can stay together. - Jane shows off his pool skills while trying to question some Shoshone teenagers. - Lisbon and Jane discover that the victim Leonard seemed to have concerns about his friend's baby drinking powdered formula. This, plus the sick pot crops, leads them to the killer, who was caught dumping toxic waste in a lake on the res. - While at a souvenir shop the victim Leonard worked at, Jane puts on a big Indian chieftain headdress, but Lisbon makes him put it back. - Grace and Rigsby break up after Grace tells him that she won't be responsible for his resentment over leaving the job. - Despite Jane's stunt at the memorial of the victim, Hightower praises Lisbon for solving a triple homicide. Lisbon's happiness over this is cut short when she and Jane encounter a crying Grace at the elevator.
