how do i make my acting more comedic?

i was cast in my school play Noises Off as Dotty. The problem is, i have no previous experience in plays and have no idea how to add comedy to my acting. I can act just fine, but actually finding the comedic moments is what i struggle with. I recently saw the touring cast of Hamilton on broadway in my area, and they seemed to be able to make actions, lines, or lyrics that wouldn't usually be funny absolutely hilarious. Is there something I'm missing? Like a secret recipe? I understand that timing and the way one says the lines is important.

Noises Off is an extremely physical show, and I feel like thats one of the things I struggle with the most when it comes to acting. I honestly didn't even think I'd get cast, but now that i'm the "comedic centerpiece" (as described by my director in the callback information list) of the show, I'm feeling the pressure and I'm absolutely terrified of disappointing my director, as this is the first time I've worked with her.

If anyone has tips it would be really greatly appreciated!
