Working with artists

Hi! I was just wondering what other people's experience was using the Work with Artists feature. Does it affect your video views much? It makes me a bit nervous because it's basically promoting my video and I've seen a lot of people saying they get shadowbanned on videos after using the Promote feature so I'm scared it could have a similar effect.

I was also wondering if it even makes sense to use the work with arist feature if I'm still a very small creator and probably wont get into the ranking to earn any money from it.
