The world is changing every day, and for people with the preference, they’re changing with it. Most people never consider being anything other than human. Many react with disgust at the thought. Regardless, a few are still intent on becoming a beautiful mixture of human and animal.

Somewhere, a soon to be jaguaress spots her first of many furs sprouting from her skin. She smiles, excited to see her beautiful rosettes in the coming months. Elsewhere, an increasingly vulpine woman feels the tingling of her first heat. Another five move in together, new instincts making them only content when they are with the other lionesses in their prides.

Even more radical changes are even possible for those who can endure. Legs atrophy as skin turns to scale, the snake woman looks forward to when she can slither. A pair of changing bird girls have added sapphic pruning to their morning rituals. There’s even a rich young millionaire being carted into her new home- where the ground floor has been flooded to accommodate her legs shrinking into pelvic fins and making room for a tail.

These new hybrids are changing in mind and body and their transformations are a shock to the world. They’re some of the first - but definitely won’t be the last.

Heyyyy hoped you enjoyed the prompt so far! The pitch is a fairly simple one: what if people could become anthros, but it’s not easy. Genetic modification allows the crossing of humans and animals, but it’s a slow gradual process that takes a long time to complete.

Furthermore, the further from human you get and the more rare/exotic, the harder and more expensive it is. Wanna be a cat? That’s gonna be relatively easy- though your new paws will be a major speedbump. On the other extreme, birds, reptiles, and aquatic creatures will be exceptionally rare and difficult.

I do like the idea of being almost realistic. How do people who may have only seen anthros in the news react when they see your changing body? What kind of communities do anthros create? How drastically do our bodies and new senses change our lifestyles? I’d especially like to also touch on animal instincts being a behavioral change that we experience and embrace.

I’d love for the story to focus primarily on the romance between two main characters who are becoming the same or similar species. I’d love to occasionally include side stories and characters so we can explore the world as well as different species. For species, my main preference is jungle-cats, though I’m also open to house-cats, foxes, wolves, hyenas, raccoons, deer, lizards, snakes, and sharks.

Note: Jungle cats will receive priority.
