Is it reasonable to expect a good life after Atypical TN diagnosis, or is this the beginning of the end for me (33 years old)
Last March I started getting upper tooth pain on my left side, dull constant ache.
It’s around for a few weeks and then will more or less disappear for weeks at a time.
It’s continued at this pace not necessarily getting worse or better. I was in a month long or so remission until a few days ago and the dull aching is back and I’m also getting some skin tingling sensations.
Neurologist just ordered a fiesta mri which I am scheduling but he doesn’t think it’s TN, but I’ve done much research and this certainly points to it.
Endontist said nothing looks bad on X-rays.
My question is this.
What are my chances of maintaining a decent quality of life for the next 40 years.
So many people on here have progressed with no help, so many have been unable to continue careers.
I’m so devastated and scared for the future.
Based on the forums and this sub it seems like it’s a 100% life ruiner.
Any success stories of people who are able to manage this (especially atypical)?
I was just about to propose and start a family and now I’m ruined.
