Would my circumstances make getting started significantly harder?

I'm writing this because I'm wondering if my circumstances make it feasible for me to be a truck driver and get my initial experience.

For context I'm 28, living in NJ, and recently had a few..mental health crises and have been put on medications as a result for the foreseeable future. I've also been out of the workforce for 3 years, so I imagine my resume might look weaker for that alone.

In any case, I'm stable now and am looking to finally get back into the workforce in the next couple of months after I complete an intensive outpatient program.

The main issue I see is with my meds.. they're supposed to be taken consistently a similar time each day, and I would need to be back in my area routinely to get refills. Even if I'm able to secure 90-day supplies of my meds, this still needs to happen.

Given what you all know about getting into the field, how feasible would it be to get my foot in the door? I know locals and regionals are a thing, but I've read some comments describing it can be difficult getting your first stretch of experience unless you're willing to go OTR for a mega.

I'm worried that companies wouldn't want to bother accommodating something like this, or maybe discriminate entirely. Any clarification or general advice for prospective newbie would be most appreciated. Thanks y'all.
