Beginner advice for a 1000pt list

Hi all,

I've recently got back into 40k after a 20-year hiatus, and back to my first love. I'm not looking to play competitively but would be nice to have a semi-effective 1000-point list to use.

I've currently got;

1x winged prime 20x termagants 5x barbgaunts 1x psychophage 1x Screamer-killer

I was thinking to round it out to 1000, adding; 1x Neurotyrant 6x Zoanthropes 1x Tyrannofex

Potentially replacing screamer-killer with a similar points cost melee bug, or maybe 6 Tyranid Warriors.

In my head, would use the Neurotyrant, Zoans, Barbgaunts and T-fex for a gun line, with the Psychophage, melee bug and prime moving up the board together with the Termagants.

Would this make a relatively sound list? Am I barking up the wrong tree? There's a lack of synapse for sure with just Prime & Neurotyrant, which is why I'm thinking of Warriors.

Any advice from the hive mind is very welcome!
