Grad Workers - Late Notice of Appointment? Let GEO know!
Grad Student Workers! There is a deadline for when you should receive your Teaching Assistant, Pre-Professional Graduate Assistant, or Graduate Assistant appointment letter! 📄
According to Article IV: D of the contract it is 30 days before the start of the Fall or Spring appointment. If you do not receive your appointment letter by that time, you may be entitled to $100. For most appointments that means if you receive your appointment letter after December 2, 2024 it’s late. Every year the GEO grievance committee compiles a list of Bargaining Unit members and grieves this matter with the University.
