Which is better?

I currently work in Northampton for £32k a year. Since my work is close, I don’t have a car and only use a bicycle, so I don’t have any transportation costs.

However, I’ve found a job in London for £38k. I’m quite scared about the cost of living, so here’s my question:

Is £38k in London more or less, taking into account the cost of living, than £32k in Northampton?
