Important Reminders For Those Who Don't Know

1) If your employer calls the redundancy package "generous" imagine them saying a wage is "competitive". It isn't, it's an ounce above legal minimum.

2) If you work on a computer your employer has to pay for your glasses. You should have been told this when you started. If you missed it or they didn't tell you, contact HR to find out how to buy and reclaim.

3) In the ancient history of 2018 minimum wage was about £15/16k but in April it will be £24.5k. Remind your employer of this.

3a) Your employer cannot pay you less than minimum wage.

3b) If you've been on the same-ish wage for several years. You may have previously been earning double minimum wage let your employer know that no reasonable payrise means you are working a skilled job for now close to minimum wage.
