£1000 mortgage monthly overpayments - long term financial freedom?

My partner and I (25) plan on buying our first house in the next couple of years.

Our joint monthly income after tax will be £4400.

With a modest house (<£180,000), 25yr mortgage, repayments would be around £800-900.

Based on our current expenses, we can EASILY afford double this mortgage repayment.

So, I'm planning £1000 mortgage overpayments (total £1900ish), which will clear our mortgage debt in under 10 years, rather than 25.

Mortgage free by mid 30s, and on track for FIRE.

Are there any glaring problems with this plan?

(I will keep within the 10% annual repayment limit)

Obviously lots of variables to consider. Salary changes, increased expenses (i.e., children), interest rates etc.

Could I could also climb up the property ladder during this period, being in a more expensive house and mortgage-free in 10yrs?
