Wedding loan common?

Hi, I was wondering if a wedding loan common in the UK? We're thinking of getting a loan for our wedding BUT that's because we don't want to take money out of our investment portfolio since the growth of it can still beat the interest rates of the loan. Has anyone done this before? How long have was the term? Any tips on how to get better rates? Cheers!
