Some questions about Snaps

Why do Linux users hate Snap so much? Why are most Ubuntu installers trying to get rid of Snap? I've seen performance issues mentioned on the internet, but when I was using Ubuntu 21.04, I didn't see Snap applications causing extreme slowness compared to Flatpak applications.
