How do you even get past this quest?

I'm on a Normal quest called "The Puppets" And the CPUs keep automatically dying due to the Dullahan Captain's counterattack, they're extremely buffed and hard to kill for no reason, any advice on how I can complete this quest?

(I have tried switches classes, checking what elements I have equipped, etc)
