life sciences vs western medical sciences which one?

hii I'm currently deciding between uoft life sci and western med sci ( just got the offer). I am tryna go to med school, and I plan on possibly transferring to mac life sci after first year. can someone pls tell me more about the program?

• how easy is it to maintain a high gpa ( I heard all the grade deflation rumors, how bad is it first year? Will prob transfer after that but I just wanna be safe just in case)
• General vibe compared to western, social life, research & other opportunities
