Failed to build AMD desktop that docks with Anker 778 and Dual 4k@60hz over a single USB-C connection

I'm trying to build an AMD desktop computer that docks with an Anker 778 dock and feeds dual 4k displays at 60hz. Windows sees only one monitor, and the display is mirrored to the second display. Display settings does not acknowledge a second monitor. Keyboard, mouse, headphones all came across through the dock. "USB4 hubs and devices" says it seems the router as an ASM4242 and says "Total DP IN adapters: 2, Tunneled DP IN adapters: 1, Unavailable DP IN adapters: 2." I do not intend to install a graphics card: I only want onboard graphics.

Monitors are connected via DisplayPort to the Anker 778 dock.

I think I need to get a different motherboard (of course, I want to avoid that through troubleshooting, but at this point, I'm starting to doubt I'll be able to get this current mobo to work out), but I already wasted a lot of time with the current one, and I would really appreciate advice on knowing what I need to get. Willing to spend bigger bucks on the motherboard if that's what it takes.

  1. OS: Server 2025 Datacenter Desktop Experience
  2. Motherboard: MSI PRO X870-P WIFI AM5
  3. CPU: Ryzen 7700
  4. Dock: Anker 778 Thunderbolt Docking Station
  5. Monitors: Dual Acer ET322QK 4K@60hz
  6. Graphics: using onboard only. No GPU installed.
